About lululemon lab // The lululemon lab is a conceptual design and retail space. It is a hub for innovation and functional fashion in Vancouver. The lab designs, produces and sells its own exclusive line of clothing. The line is created by our in-house design team and is rooted in the inspirations of both local and international trends.
Mara's Role // Mara has worked with the lululemon team as an installation consultant on a few art installations. When the lab is preparing to launch a new capsule collection (generally a 6-8 piece micro-collection they have designed in collaboration with or for a local business), they create an art installation in their window. Mara has worked with the lululemon lab team on designing and executing a few window displays.

Seawheeze August 2014
Part of a two person collaboration with the store's in house graphic designer in preparation for second annual Seawheeze -- lululemon's half marathon which brings thousands of runners to Vancouver. Installation was a variation on the optical illusion inspired official Seawheeze print and involved mapping out a 10'x40' black wall with painters tape (right) to paint sections white to create a beautiful and striking zigzag pattern (left).
the response April 2014
Part of a five person collaboration celebrating the launch of a capsule for The Response, a local dance company for which the lululemon lab created a full wardrobe for the company's latest performance. Mara's role in this installation was designing and executing the four painted figures on the wall.
